Face to Face: SYMA periodically arranges Face to Face meetings with Govt. officials.

Public Amenities: Every year, SYMA does voluntary service at Sri Parthasarathyswamy temple during Vaikunda Ekadesi and New Year Day. SYMA strives to create awareness in public for cleanliness, coordinates with Govt. officials to bring public ameneties like toilets and water facilities wherever requires, volunteers to regulate traffic during temple festivals and strives hard to keep Triplicane clean andgreen.

SYMA – Duty is not for reward

National Integeration: Every year the Association celebrates Republic Day and Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag. Events are conducted evoking patriotic fervour. The Association regularly conducts various events to celebrate the birth anniversary of prominent freedom fighters and eminent personalities

Hospitality Services: SYMA makes it a point to visit orphanages during labour day and such appropriate occassions and distribute food and entertain the inmates; provide lunch to public, and set up water tanks during temple festivals and summer times; and collect relief funds during disaster times and make sure the funds reaches the appropriate authorities.

Lectures, Debates and Seminars: SYMA periodically arranges lectures, religious discourses, oratorical competitions, conferences and symposiums for the benefit of public.

Arts and Culture: SYMA organizes Thiruvizhas and competitions regularly to encourage our own Arts and Culture amongst public and especially in young minds.

Sports: Tennis ball cricket tournament was conducted every year till 2001. In the prize distribution function many top cricketers like Mr. V. Sivaramakrishnan, Mr. S. Ramesh, Mr.L.Sivaramakrishnan, Mr. C.S.Sureshkumar, Ms. Sumathy Iyer were invited as chief guests to distribute prizes.

Environment Protection: Cleanliness is next only to Godliness. We undertake temple tank cleaning, street cleaning campaigns, preserve greenery in our locality by planting saplings, propagate the benefits of Rain Water Harvesting and involve ourselves in civic issues by interacting with the relevant Government departments to make our locality a better place to live in. A sustained campaign organised for Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) encouraged Syma members and residents of Triplicane implemented RWH system in their houses by our efforts even before Government’s ordinance to make it compulsory.
